The Carolingian is a journal for debate on culture, arts and aesthetics. We uphold the highest standards of freedom of speech, providing readers with learned contributions from all areas of culture and humanities. As a unique multi-lingual journal, we publish essays in Latin and any modern language.

The Carolingians were a medieval dynasty, with Charlemagne as Father of Europe. Figuratively, a Carolingian is a supporter of European integration, incentive to the arts and cultural dialogue.

While The Carolingian upholds the values of human rights, rule of law, democracy and enlightenment, it does not adhere dogmatically to any line of thought. We provide dialectic variety for a critical and informed society.
